Hello, I am Anne Landry, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and graduate of The University of Tennessee Knoxville where I obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and a Master of Science in Social Work. My prior clinical experiences include working with children, adolescents, adults and the elderly in residential, outpatient, and hospital settings. I have worked both in the community mental health and private settings. I work as a field liaison for the College of Social Work, supervising student interns learning to be masters level social workers in the community.
My approach to therapy is an evidence-based, and client-centered. I utilize Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Positive Psychology, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral therapy but tailor my approach to meet the specific and individual needs of each client, which can even change during the course of a session. I am a generalist social worker, and I treat individuals, families, couples, and adolescents living with trauma/PTSD, ADHD/ADD, anxiety, depression, personality disorders, religious trauma, sexual addictions, alcohol and drug, and anger management concerns. I also focus on serving the LGBTQIA+ community. Should your concerns become outside of my clinical practice, I will make an appropriate referral to another provider or service.
My hope is to create a safe, warm therapeutic environment for my clients to process their thoughts and emotions and feel empowered to make changes in their lives. I am grateful to be part of the Middle path family of providers of outpatient DBT services and to offer private practice counseling/therapy services.
