 Nicki Durisseau is the Clinical Director for The Middle Path of Chattanooga and is working to expand Chattanooga’s programs to include both Adult and Adolescent Intensive Outpatient Programs. Nicki is a Licensed Professional Counselor with 10 years experience working in the mental health field with those suffering from serious and persistent mental illness.  Nicki received her Bachelors Degree in Exercise Science and Psychology from Tulane University in New Orleans, LA in 2006 and her Master’s Degree from Wheaton College in Wheaton, IL in 2009.  Since graduation, Nicki’s career has been shaped by her varied roles as a case manager.  Therapist, and triage/intake counselor with Mental Health Cooperative in their various locations across TN followed by a clinical director position with Omni Community Health of Chattanooga. Nicki received her license 6 years ago in the state of TN and is pursuing supervision status by the licensing board in order to provide this service to those seeking licensure.

 Nicki is trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and currently offers an aftercare group for those who have graduated from the IOP program.  When not running group, Nicki enjoys working individually with clients presenting with a variety of clinical issues including Depression, Anxiety, Bipolar Disorder, trauma and utilizes DBT, client centered, and EMDR therapy to assist her clients in experiencing greater freedom by both embracing themselves in the moment and moving forward in the areas they are stuck.
