Hi, I’m Jenna, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over a decade of clinical experience in both the United States and Ghana. Throughout my career, I’ve worked alongside individuals navigating Opioid Use Disorder, complex childhood trauma, and involvement in the child welfare system. I have also helped develop the Chattanooga Police Department’s Crisis Co-Response Unit, directed a Partial Hospitalization Program, and founded Waves Wellness & Counseling.
I am especially passionate about supporting individuals who have not felt safe, understood, or successful in traditional treatment settings. My clinical approach integrates evidence-based modalities including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, Bowen Family Systems Theory, somatic therapies, and ecotherapy. When appropriate, I take therapy beyond the walls of the office and into some of Chattanooga’s most restorative natural spaces, incorporating the healing power of the outdoors to support regulation, connection, and meaningful growth. In addition to my work in higher levels of care, I have extensive experience treating attachment wounds, complex trauma and PTSD, mood disorders, grief and loss, relationship challenges, life transitions, and severe and persistent mental health conditions. I’ve also worked closely with professionals in high-stress roles, including law enforcement, crisis responders, and fellow mental health providers.
When I'm not working, you can find me roaming the mountains and splashing around in the waterways of Eastern Tennessee, getting lost in a good book, running far too many miles than is necessary, and sitting under my favorite Oak tree with my fur babies- Sandor Clegane and Albus Dumbledore.

I have been working in the field of counseling since 2012. I have my Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling from Webster University and am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). I have served clients within several settings to include a large behavioral health hospital, then two large mental health state clinics in South Carolina. I have been in private practice since March of 2019. While in graduate school I first learned how Mindfulness practice can change the brain and help with emotion regulation. However, it wasn’t till 2014 while working in a school based setting, that I started incorporating Mindfulness activities into my therapy sessions with children. I was hooked! I had never heard of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) until starting a position with a large mental health state clinic in South Carolina in 2016. I did additional intensive training with Behavioral Tech in 2018 and 2019 to hone my DBT skills. I have led both teen and adult DBT groups, and love both! In 2022 I worked for The Middle Path at Barrier Islands Psychiatry (Charleston SC) leading a DBT skills Intensive Outpatient group for individuals who were struggling with a variety of complex diagnosis, to include substance abuse. I feel honored to again use my skills with The Middle Path at their Kingsport TN location. This Intensive Outpatient group has the potential to change lives. My clients continue to inspire me with their humor, their stories, and their ability to rise above the challenges they’ve experienced. When I’m not facilitating groups or working in my private practice, I enjoy making jewelry, reading, yoga, hiking, and spending time with my daughter.

Jackie Zgiet has been a Family Nurse Practitioner since 2010. She owns her own private practice and Dr. Francis Lebuffe is her supervising physician. She holds an Advanced Practice Nursing License in the state of Tennessee and holds a compact nursing license.
Jackie received a Bachelor of Nursing Science from Tennessee Wesleyan University, in Athens TN. She later pursued a Master's of Nursing Science specializing in Family Practice, from Lincoln Memorial University, Harrogate TN in 2010. Jackie has always been interested in the field of psychiatry and has seen the lack of mental health care within her community. This motivated her to return to college and she recently graduated with the Advanced Certificate of Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner through Maryville University of St. Louis MO. Her goal is to combine her knowledge and experience in family practice and psychiatry to improve health disparities in her area while incorporating a holistic approach.
Jackie has personally dealt with depression and anxiety while also witnessing the struggles of family, friends, and patients. She brings a compassionate but practical forward approach to care. She believes each patient is an individual and that genetics plus past experiences shape the person we are today.
In her free time, she enjoys reading, gardening, and hanging out with her cat Obie. Now that she is out of school she hopes to build a quaint private practice and do further research in psychiatry and is interested in the work of Carl Jung.
And NOW the answer to the question everyone wants to know.....
Her name is pronounced Zig-get. (it's Polish)

Middle School Group Therapist

Ann H. Brandon has been working in the field of counseling since 2012.
Mrs. Brandon has her Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling from Webster University and is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).

She has served clients within several settings including a large
behavioural health hospital, then two large mental health state clinics, before she transitioned into private practice in March of 2019.

While in graduate school Mrs. Brandon first learned how Mindfulness practice can change the brain, and help emotion regulation.
However, it wasn’t till 2014 when she worked in a school-based setting, that she started incorporating Mindfulness activities into her therapy sessions with children.

Mrs Brandon had never heard of Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) until starting a position with a large mental health state clinic in Berkeley county. In 2016, she was allowed to begin her learning process by observing, and then
eventually co-leading DBT skills training groups.

This experience truly ignited her passion for introducing DBT skills to clients who were struggling with a variety of complex diagnoses, including substance abuse. Mrs. Brandon did additional intensive training with Behavioral Tech in
2018 and 2019 to hone her DBT skills.

In June of 2022, The Middle Path at Barrier Islands Psychiatry presented a unique opportunity to again facilitate DBT skills groups for their clients.
Mrs. Brandon states that she feels honoured to walk alongside these clients as they do an Intensive Outpatient group that can change their lives. They inspire her with their humor, their stories, and their ability to rise above the things that have happened to them.

When she’s not facilitating groups or working in her private practice, Mrs. Brandon enjoys making jewellery, reading, yoga, hiking, and spending time with her husband and daughter.

Hello there,
My name is Ashley McKamey. I am a licensed professional counselor currently providing services at The Middle Path as a group counselor for adults, and in private practice where I see folks individually for therapy services. I have been working in the mental health field since 2012. I obtained my graduate degree from Lincoln Memorial University and my bachelor’s degree in psychology from Carson Newman University. My clinical experience includes group, individual and family counseling in an outpatient setting, community mental health center, inpatient and intensive outpatient settings. I have also provided mental health services within the criminal justice system.

I enjoy working with individuals who are open to feedback and willing to try new approaches to resolve their struggles. I believe that each individual is the expert in their own life, and when someone collaborates in a therapeutic relationship and makes an investment in their treatment they can achieve amazing outcomes.

I am particularly interested in working with individuals and families experiencing mood disorders, psychosis, and those struggling with substance mis-use. I have a passion for helping folks maintain stability and reach their full potential.

The majority of my work has been with adults experiencing mental illness and substance use disorders. I provide a holistic and client centered approach. This means that care provided will be individualized according to the needs of the client.

I provide a safe space for individuals to express their thoughts and feelings freely without judgment. It is my goal to make sure that each of my clients feel that they can be heard, that they are important, and that they can conquer whatever they may be facing.

I do accept most commercial insurances and Tenncare. If you are interested in individual services I can be reached at

Revitalist Clinician

Ashley Davis, PhD, LPC-MHSP, NCC, C-DBT

My name is Ashley Davis, and I am the Clinical Director at The Middle Path – Knoxville.

Professional Background
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, a board-certified counselor, and certified in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. I earned a PhD from Walden University in
Counselor Education and Supervision. I am also the President of the Smoky Mountain Counselors Association. I am currently an adjunct instructor at Capella University, Johnson University, and Walden University.

I have worked in the mental health field for ten years in a variety of settings including residential, outpatient, and crisis services. In addition to providing Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, I am also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy. I have a passion for working with individuals who have experienced trauma and/or have personality disorders. I strive to provide a collaborative and integrative approach by working alongside your other providers to work towards healing of the mind, body, and spirit.

My Journey with The Middle Path
I started at The Middle Path as an intern when I was in my graduate counseling program. I remembered reading about DBT years before when I was a case manager and thinking that DBT would be so helpful for the teenagers that I was working with. However, I couldn’t find a therapist trained in DBT. When I was looking for an internship placement, I learned about the DBT program at The Middle Path and I knew that this was the place for me.

Upon my first meeting with Hope Reneau (Owner and Executive Director) to interview for the intern position, I could tell that this practice was different from anything else I had experienced. However, I wasn’t aware of how different this practice was. It wasn’t until I graduated and began working in a local agency that I started to see how special The Middle Path’s approach to treatment and client care was.

During my internship at The Middle Path, I had the pleasure of watching clients get better within several weeks. These were the clients that thought they would never feel better. This experience had a lasting impact on my approach to client care. So, when I ran into Hope a few years ago at a DBT training, I knew that it was time for me to rejoin The Middle Path family.

The Middle Path doesn’t just provide an effective therapy. It is a practice that is focused on both the clients and the staff members. The Middle Path is a warm and supportive place to work. The positive culture directly influences the services that we provide and leads to quality mental health treatment. The Middle Path is my home and I invite you to join us.

Lastly, I believe in the power of authenticity and being genuine with clients.
