Jenna Parker, LCSW

Group Therapist

Hi, I’m Jenna, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over a decade of clinical experience in both the United States and Ghana. Throughout my career, I’ve worked alongside individuals navigating Opioid Use Disorder, complex childhood trauma, and involvement in the child welfare system. I have also helped develop the Chattanooga Police Department’s Crisis Co-Response Unit, directed a Partial Hospitalization Program, and founded Waves Wellness & Counseling.
I am especially passionate about supporting individuals who have not felt safe, understood, or successful in traditional treatment settings. My clinical approach integrates evidence-based modalities including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, Bowen Family Systems Theory, somatic therapies, and ecotherapy. When appropriate, I take therapy beyond the walls of the office and into some of Chattanooga’s most restorative natural spaces, incorporating the healing power of the outdoors to support regulation, connection, and meaningful growth. In addition to my work in higher levels of care, I have extensive experience treating attachment wounds, complex trauma and PTSD, mood disorders, grief and loss, relationship challenges, life transitions, and severe and persistent mental health conditions. I’ve also worked closely with professionals in high-stress roles, including law enforcement, crisis responders, and fellow mental health providers.
When I'm not working, you can find me roaming the mountains and splashing around in the waterways of Eastern Tennessee, getting lost in a good book, running far too many miles than is necessary, and sitting under my favorite Oak tree with my fur babies- Sandor Clegane and Albus Dumbledore.
