Hope Reneau, LCSW

Founder & CEO

Hope Reneau, a licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), has a broad background in social work with more than thirty (30) years of experience. She possesses a National Certification as a Dialectical Behavior Therapist and is recognized by providers and insurance companies nationwide for high quality clinical skills.

​Currently, Hope Reneau is the Founder and CEO of The Middle Path, Inc. and Board Member of the East Tennessee Mental Health Association. In 2018 she was a Field Liaison and Field Supervisor for the University of Tennessee College of Social Work in Knoxville and is currently a Board Member of the Advisory Council at the UT College of Social Work. Her career in social work and therapy has been formed at McLean Hospital, Belmont, MA; Tennova Healthcare, Knoxville, TN; Chota Community Health Services, Madisonville, TN; U.S. Navy Fleet and Family Services, San Diego, CA; Tennessee Early Intervention Services, Knoxville, TN; Director of Continuing Education and adjunct faculty for the School of Social Work, San Diego University, San Diego, CA; and the Administrator and Divisional Social Worker Consultant for the Salvation Army, San Diego, CA.

She received her Master of Social Work Degree (MSW) from Boston College, MA, and her B.S. Degree, majoring in Psychology and a minor in Social Rehabilitation, from Assumption College, MA.

Hope Reneau is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (TN LSW 4531), in the State of Tennessee, a licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of South Carolina, and a former Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of California.

She has participated in a wide range of community volunteer organizations and services and is a member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) and the Evergreen Certification Institute for DBT National Certification and Accreditation organizations.
